Chaos As Police Officer Shoots 4 Colleagues Dead, Injures 3 Others

The Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has confirmed the killing of four of its officers by their colleague, Reetesh Ranjan on Monday, November 8.
News CN reports that Ranjan, a paramilitary trooper killed his four colleagues and wounded three others stationed inside a camp in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh.
Officials said that the incident occurred at about 3.25 am (local time) on Monday, November 8, at the CRPF camp located in Lingampalli village of Sukma district.
The village is about 410 kilometres south of Raipir, the capital city of Chhattisgarh, the report said.

Also, an Indian broadcaster, NDTV said the CRPF camp 50th battalion is under Maraiguda police station.
Preliminary investigation on the matter shows that Ranjan, a constable fired at his colleagues with his service weapon, an AK-47 rifle.
He has since been arrested and detained as an investigation has already been launched into the matter to establish the motive for his action.
An official who spoke on the incident said that the bodies of the deceased have been sent in for post-mortem examination.
The official said:
"The wounded personnel have been hospitalized."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the Nigerian Police had announced that it would be conducting a computer-based test for applicants on its recruitment exercise.
The police said the exercise would take place on Friday and Saturday, October 29 and 30 at the WAEC Testing and Training Centre in Ogba.
Candidates who applied for the ongoing police recruitment and have successfully passed the initial stage are requested to be at the venue as earlier as possible.
The police said those who would be writing the test have been asked to arrive at the testing centre at least one hour before the scheduled time, 8 am.
In other news, the Nigeria Police in Anambra state has commended residents of the state for their conduct in the governorship election.
The police said the November 6, Anambra governorship election is the most recent polls conducted in Nigeria in recent times.
According to the commissioner of police in the state, hitches expressed during the election were not security-related hitches.
