The NNPP on Saturday, January 20, maintained that influential northern politician, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso remains expelled by the opposition party.

Kano APC elders have urged President Tinubu and all well-meaning party stakeholders to ignore those calling for the removal of the chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje.

Shortly after the NNPP affirmed the continued validity of the expulsion of Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the possibility emerged that he might join the APC.

APC chieftain, Adamu Garba, on Monday, January 22, 2024, described the prospect of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso joining the ruling party as "a great catch".

Bashir Ahmad has maintained that Rabiu Kwankwaso's defection to the ruling APC is possible. Ahmad noted that the NNPP chieftain has all it takes to succeed.

There is apprehension in the air as the NNPP leader, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso declared that Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Sanusi may return as Emir of Kano.

Rabiu Kwankwaso has claimed that his opponents in Kano tried to provoke unrest in the state, falsely attributing it to him in an attempt to get him arrested.

LP chieftain, Professor Pat Utomi, has said Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, and Rabiu Kwankwaso have all agreed to form a mega party that would unseat the APC in 2027.
