The northern states Governors’ Forum on Monday, September 27, opposed the call by its Southern counterpart that the presidency should move to the South in 2023.

Imo state Governor, Hope Uzodinma has said that the IPOB's sit-at-home order was obeyed only on social media, noting that the entire Igbo nation was excited.

The federal government has said that any group or persons planning to disrupt the conduct of the Anambra governorship election, would be seriously dealt with.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo has appealed to the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra to discontinue its sit-at-home protest, adding that it is causing hardship for Igbos.

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, an Igbo sociocultural association, has raised concerns over the recent sit-at-home order planned IPOB in the southeast region.
