Ogun State, Nigeria

Ogun State is located in the southwestern region of Nigeria and is bounded by Lagos State to the south, Oyo and Osun States to the north, Ondo State to the east, and the Republic of Benin to the west. The state was created on 3 February 1976 from the former Western State.

Population

As of 2006, Ogun State had a population of 3,751,140 people, making it the sixteenth most populous state in Nigeria.
