Organised labour (NLC and the TUC) have criticied President Tinubu's government as it noted that the payments of the new minimum wage will be backdated to July 29.

NLC President, Joe Ajaero, has publicly expressed regret over the decision to accept the N70,000 minimum wage, stating that fuel price hike made the wage useless.

Pensioners in Nigeria's South West region have rejected the N70,000 minimum wage and urged labour to demand N250,000 from President Tinubu due to fuel price hike.
