The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has condemned the Amnesty International (AI) over a recent report claiming that officers in the north-eastern state of Adamawa committed human rights abuses against villagers around Numan in Adamawa.

The Nigerian Air Force is set to build a Forward Operational Base each in Cross Rivers and Akwa Ibom states respectively. This was announced by the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar on Saturday, January 28.

The officers successfully qualified at 401 Flying Training School in Kaduna in November 2016 and were later sent to Westline Aviation School where they commenced their course from January 16, 2017 to December 16, 2017.

The hostel was designed and constructed by engineers of the NAF Directorate of Works for the comfort of the school's SS3 students, thus expected to be a source of motivation for the junior students to work hard.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed the receipt of the last batch of military airplanes that it bought from Pakistani military some months ago in a statement which was by its spokesman Air Vice Marshal Olatokunbo Adesanya.

The late airman died while serving in Operation Zaman Lafiya in the North-east, was recognized for placing the interest of the nation above personal interest.
