Saidu Kolaku who is a leader of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has reportedly been shot dead by unknown gunmen.

The two foremost Fulani bodies in Nigeria, the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association and the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, have disagreed over whether herdsmen should defend themselves against ethnic attacks in southern Nigeria.

The governor also urged President Muhammadu Buhari to call for a national dialogue forum where Nigerians would frankly speak on issues affecting the country, particularly insecurity and proffer solutions.

Amid growing tension generated by RUGA altercation between the northern elders and other ethnic groups in the country, Miyetti Allah has called on the Fulani herdsmen to defend themselves against attack by ethnic militia group.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on Thursday, July 18 urged the leadership of the Miyetti-Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) to call their members who are violent to order.

Ngelzarma, who condemned the killing of Mrs Funke Olakunri, the daughter of Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the leader of the Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, urged Nigerians to desist from politicising the killing.

The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a Fulani socio-cultural organisation in Nigeria, has demanded the arrest of former president Olusegun Obasanjo over the latter’s recent open letter to Muhammadu Buhari.

Senator Dino Melaye (PDP-Kogi West) has stated that he deserves a share of the Ruga settlement as he is now a member of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria.

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has sent a condolence message to the family of Afenifere leader, Reuben Fasoranti, over the killing of his daughter, Funke Olakunrin by suspected kidnappers.
