Governor Yahaya Bello has reportedly concluded plans to sack all his aides who hail from Senator Dino Melaye’s senatorial district following the failed attempt to recall lawmaker who represents Kogi west senatorial district.

Voters in Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency in Kogi have shunned the ongoing verification exercise organised by INEC to authenticate the signatures of voters seeking to recall Senator Dino Melaye (APC/Kogi west).

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that the poor turn out that characterised Saturday’s bid to recall Sen. Dino Melaye (APC/Kogi West) signified a total rejection of the Gov. Yahaya Bello-led administration in Kogi.

In a press statement made available to NAIJ.com, Force public relations officer, ACP Jimoh Moshood said the senator representing Kogi west escaped from a lawful custody when hoodlums and miscreants blocked the road.

Senator Dino Melaye has reportedly been rushed to the hospital after allegedly jumping off a moving police van that was conveying him to a court in Lokoja, Kogi state.This incident happened around Area one in Abuja.

The embattled senator representing Kogi west senatorial district under the All Progressives Congress Dino Melaye, has been moved to Lokoja by the operatives of the Nigeria Police drawn from its Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

The representative of Kogi West district and committee chairman on the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) at the Senate, Dino Melaye, has reportedly been arrested by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

The police has on Wednesday, March 28, declared Senator Dino Melaye, a lawmaker from Kogi state, wanted. The lawmaker was declared wanted alongside Mohammed Audu, son of a former governor of the state, Abubakar Audu.

Senator Dino Melaye of Kogi state has threatened to sue the Nigeria Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris over the reported escape of two suspects who accused him (Melaye) of being their sponsor and gun supplier.
