Cross River State, Nigeria

Cross River State is located in the south-south region of Nigeria. It was created on May 27, 1967, from the former Eastern Region. Its capital is Calabar, and it borders Benue State to the north, Ebonyi and Abia States to the west, Akwa Ibom State to the southwest, and Cameroon to the east.

Population

According to the 2006 National population census, Cross River State had a population of 3,737,517 people.
