The governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose, has alleged that he was constantly pressurised by the ruling All progressives Congress (APC) to support its candidate, Kayode Fayemi on his governorship ambition in the state.

Governor Fayose accused the commissioner of police in the state, Ahmed Bello and the Director of the Department of State Services Promise Ihenacho of plans to intimidate and arrest members of his party ahead of the election.

The governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose, said that he has warned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and its officials not to rig for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming July 14 election.

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has been accused by a former national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dayo Adeyeye, as “a greedy and selfish politician with an uncanny capacity to spin reckless lies.”

Governor, Ayodele Fayose accused the APC and the INEC of colluding to preload card readers meant for the July 14 governorship election in Ekiti state, to manipulate the poll in favour of the party's candidate, Kayode Fayemi.

The federal govt has been accused by the Ekiti state gov, Ayodele Fayose, of deliberately withholding the release of the Paris Club refund to states in order to prevent Ekiti from using the money to pay arrears of workers' salary.

Adewunmi who represents Ekiti west constituency 1, at the State House of Assembly along side his counterpart from Ikere Constituency, Akiniyi Sunday, were impeached last month following alleged disloyalty to the governor.

The immediate past Ekiti state commissioner for justice and attorney general, Owoseni Ajayi, on Monday, June 11, announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Breaking his silence since the incident which he escaped death by the whiskers, Fayemi said he would have been killed if not for God's intervention. He assured the people of ousting the incumbent governor, Ayodele Fayose.
