Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria

Akwa Ibom is a state in the south-southern part of Nigeria. It was formed from part of Cross River state in 1987. Akwa Ibom is bounded by Cross River State on the east, the Bight of Biafra of the Atlantic Ocean on the south, Rivers state on the west, Abia State on the west and north, and Ebonyi State on the north.
