World Cup: Super Eagles Ex-Coach Paul Hamilton Praises Nigerian Team

The Super Eagles ex-coach Paul Hamilton urged the Nigerian team to continue improving their performance to reach the quarterfinals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup currently being held in Brazil.

Speaking in Lagos on Friday, Hamilton explained that the Eagles' success was important not only to Nigeria but to the world of African football in general, NAN reports.

The former coach was quoted saying:

"If they [The Super Eagles] happen to succeed against France, it will be so exciting and I will be proud because so far, only the good teams are left."

Hamilton also urged Nigerians to keep supporting the team and Stephen Keshi adding that now it is impossible "to predict anything because the game of football is tricky because I saw what the boys did and I am very thrilled."

Moreover, the football professional praised the Nigerian team over upgrading their playing skills even throughout the competition.

Despite having lost to the Group F leader Argentina 2-3, Keshi's men qualified for round 16 of the Mundial and will play against France on Monday, June 30.
