Ideye Overjoyed With Move To England
Super Eagles forward Brown Ideye has been transfered from his Ukranian club, Dynamo Kyiv, to English Premier League outfit, West Bromwich Albion.
The transfer was worth around a fee of 10 million pounds and the player signed on to a five year deal with a player option of one more year.
The 25 year old striker was given West Brom's jersey number nine and would play with Nigerian Victor Anichebe.
West Ham's head coach Alan Irvine was visibly excited and told the club website: “Brown is a quality striker and I’m looking forward to working with him. He’s a strong, quick, powerful player who likes to get in behind defences and has plenty of Champions League and international experience.”
Brown Ideye formerly played with Ocean Boys football club in the Nigerian League and also in the Switz and French leagues.
He was one of the big names that missed the World Cup along with Ogu and Ike Uche.
He had helped Keshi's squad to win the African Nations Cup in January 2013.
