It has been a shaky start to life as a Premier League coach for Amorim. Many fans had hoped his side would build on the positive comeback win against Manchester City last week, but they were no match for Bournemouth, who has made a name for themselves for claiming the scalp of big teams this season.

What did the fan say to Manchester United?

Before the game, Manchester United's X admin posted, 'Let's give the gift of three points, Reds, ' ahead of Christmas this coming week.

After the 3-0 defeat, the fan account responded in kind with a cheeky message.

"Thanks for the gift."

The Cherries got the better of the home side courtesy of goals from Dean Huijsen, Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo to condemn Amorim to a third Premier League loss in six games.

The real Bournemouth account then posted, 'BACK TO BACK 3-0 WINS AT OLD TRAFFORD,' with the viral meme of two spidermen.

What next for Manchester United?

The loss leaves them in 13th place with 22 points, nine off the Champions League spots. They have a trip to the Molineux on Boxing Day before hosting Newcastle United on December 30.
