- Manchester United clash with Ipswich in their first game after an eventful international break
- New coach Ruben Amorim hinted at how his team could lineup on Sunday at Portman Road in his first match
- The Red Devils are unbeaten in their last four matches, and Amorim will be seeking a winning start
Manchester United will return to action on Sunday against Ipswich Town, Ruben Amorim's first game in charge.
The Red Devils are aiming to continue with their excellent run, which was started by interim coach Ruud van Nistelrooy.
In his press conference on Friday afternoon, Amorim shared a sneak preview of how his team could play against the Tractor Boys.
The 20-time English champions have made a poor start to the season, which resulted in Erik ten Hag's dismissal. They sit 13th in the Premier League with 15 points but are only four points off the top four.
Amorim's tactics in Ipswich vs Man United
The former Sporting CP coach is known for his three-at-the-back formation, which he used to great success in Portugal. He hasn't said that will be the case at Man United, but many expect a slight change.
In his first presser as coach, Amorim hinted at using the same starting lineup we've seen in the last few weeks.
"As a coach you have to choose one way or another. I choose always 100% our way. I believe so much in our way, they will too. There is no second way. We'll adapt some players. Maybe you'll see starting 11 + not feel change but you'll see it in positioning," he said per The Athletic journalist Laurie Whitwell.
Amorim would definitely love to start on a positive note, but Ipswich head into that game after beating Tottenham Hotspur away from home in their last match.
Ipswich coach warns Man United
Legit.ng earlier reported that Ipswich coach Kieran McKenna fired a warning at Man United ahead of their Premier League meeting.
The former Red Devils coach promised a tough game for their visitors since they are one of the biggest club.
Amorim's warning to players
Legit.ng also reported that Amorim fired a warning to five Man United players in his first interview as a coach.
The head coach said Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho, Leny Yoro, Rasmus Hojlund, and Amad Diallo should be ready to perform as expected. Man United fans are excited about the 39-year-old's new team.
