Bruno Fernandes has sent a subtle message to Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres, who has been heavily linked with Manchester United.

Gyokeres is in red hot form for his club and country, Sweden, and the rumours have intensified after his coach, Ruben Amorim, joined Man United.

The 26-year-old has bagged 23 goals in 18 appearances this season, and his value continues to skyrocket.

Bruno Fernandes' message to Gyokeres

Gyokeres scored five goals in Sweden's last two matches, once against Slovakia and four against Azerbaijan in the UEFA Nations League.

He has scored a staggering 66 goals in 68 appearances for the Portuguese side and is now linked to top clubs, including Man United, per Transfermarkt.

Reports have linked him with a sensational January move, but he is unlikely to reunite with his former boss. Amorim promised not to sign any Sporting players in January.

After scoring for Sweden against Slovakia, the striker posted a photo on Instagram to celebrate the win.

Fernandes was among the hundreds of thousands of people who liked the photo, which implied that the Portugal midfielder was watching the Swede closely.

Amorim transformed Gyokeres since he joined Sporting in the summer of 2023 from English side Coventry.

Fernandes joined Man United from Sporting CP in 2020 and has become a crucial player for every coach in the last few years.

As Legit.ng reported earlier, the midfielder hopes his compatriot can bring the same energy he did at his former club and help Man United become champions again.

Fernandes saves passenger

Legit.ng earlier reported that Fernandes helped an ill passenger on a flight to Lisbon, Portugal, alongside teammate Diogo Dalot.

Fernandes is said to have spotted the ill passenger on the flight who was seemingly passing out at the back of the plane.
