Robin van Persie infamously switched Arsenal for Manchester United in 2012 and is arguably one of the most hated ex-players.
The retired Netherlands striker was recently asked if he would return to the Emirates and gave an expected answer.
Van Persie remains one of the greatest players in Premier League history after his incredible 2013 Premier League title triumph with Man United.

Robin van Persie's controversial Man United move
The 41-year-old played for the Gunners between 2004 and 2012, scoring 132 goals and winning the FA Cup, per Transfermarkt.
In 2012, Arsenal finished third behind champions Manchester City and Man United, who famously lost the Premier League title on the final day.
Van Persie won the Golden Boot after scoring 30 goals, but they weren't enough to help Arsenal win the league. He was part of the team that lost 8-2 at Old Trafford.
After losing the league by goal difference, Sir Alex Ferguson signed van Persie to bolster his attacking unit. The move paid off.
He won another Golden Boot to help the Red Devils win their 20th league title. Arsenal fans still harbour deep resentment against van Persie for joining Man United.
Will van Persie work at Arsenal in Future?
When asked if he would ever work at Arsenal in future, he said the door is closed.
"I don’t expect to work at Arsenal. I think that door is closed," he said via Metro Sports. "Because of my switch to Manchester United, that is my assessment. You never know in football, but that is my assessment. It is still sensitive for them, not for me. It is especially sensitive for the Arsenal fans."
The legendary striker retired from football in 2019 and is currently coaching Eredivisie side SC Heerenveen.
Although loathed at the Emirates, he is considered a legend at Old Trafford. His 2012/13 season performances helped Ferguson win his final league title.
Supercomputer Premier League prediction
Legit.ng also reported that Opta's supercomputer predicted the final Premier League table of the 2024/25 season after Manchester City's loss.
It gave Liverpool a 60.3% chance of winning their second Premier League crown, while Pep Guardiola's Man City are now second favourite to win the league.
