It has been over a week since Manchester United fired Erik ten Hag.
The Dutchman was dismissed following their controversial defeat away at West Ham, their fourth defeat of the season.
Goalkeeper Andre Onana has looked back at Erik ten Hag's tenure and discussed what went wrong.
Man United struggles under ten Hag
Ten Hag's third season at the club, 2024/25, was characterised by humiliating defeats and a lack of progression on the pitch.
He won a trophy with Man United in his first and second seasons and finished third in the Premier League in his first season.
However, their league performances weren't convincing. They regressed drastically after winning the League Cup in February 2022 and never improved.
Sporting CP coach Ruben Amorim was hired as his replacement days after the former Ajax boss left. He will take over on November 11.
What went wrong under ten Hag?
Last season, they finished eighth, their worst in the Premier League era. This season, they have made their worst start in Premier League history. Onana expressed his sympathies for his former coach.
"When I heard he was leaving, obviously I feel bad," the goalkeeper said. "It's not always easy for players to understand when a manager is leaving," he said via Sky Sports.
The Cameroon star shared his thoughts on what went wrong.
"Why things didn't work here? We didn't win enough games so it's simple."
"In high level it's not easy. Sometimes you have to pay the price. Unfortunately it was him. We did everything, the players gave everything, we worked hard, we tried out best, but it just didn't work."
Amroim will be expected to right the wrongs of ten Hag when he coaches his first game on November 24.
