The football world is still trying to come to terms with the shocking death of George Baldock on October 9.
Baldock's lifeless body was found in his swimming pool in Glyfada, a suburb located in the southern part of the Greek capital, Athens.
The defender had only recently moved to Athens after signing for Panathinaikos in May. He ended his seven-year stay with Sheffield United, which saw him represent the Blades in the Premier League.
George Baldock's cause of death
A post-mortem report now shows that the 31-year-old had been dead for around five hours before he was found. He died after drowning in water.
Greek outlet Kathimerini reports that Baldock was found after his partner, who lives in England, raised the alarm after trying to reach him several times without success. She contacted the house owner, Diadochou Pavlou, who found Baldock at the swimming pool.
Other toxicology reports, like whether there was alcohol in his system at the time of death or not, will be available at a later date.
Local police have already indicated that preliminary investigations have ruled out foul play, with no signs of a burglary or a break-in.

"We are heartbroken with the sudden passing of our beloved George. Your enthusiasm and infectious personality brought so much love to those who were fortunate enough to know you and those who adored you from the stands," read part of the statement as quoted by the Mirror.
