World Champion Hurdler Tobi Amusan Teases Upcoming Documentary

Nigerian track and field sensation Tobi Amusan has sent waves of excitement through the sports world with the release of her feature film trailer - 'Homecoming: The Tobi Amusan Story.' The 100m hurdles world record holder and champion has offered fans a glimpse into her remarkable journey to athletic stardom.

In a 30-second teaser shared on her Instagram page, Amusan said, "Over the past couple of years, I've been pouring my heart into a project that shares my journey—the highs, the struggles, and everything in between. I'm beyond excited to finally give you a glimpse of what it's all about with this teaser."

Amusan, who stunned the world with her record-breaking performance at the 2022 World Athletics Championships, is set to share her inspiring story of determination, perseverance, and triumph. The documentary which gives an intimate look at the life and career of one of Nigeria's most celebrated athletes, is slated for release in early 2025.

"This documentary is a window into my world," Amusan stated. "It's about the sweat, tears, and countless hours of training that go into those few seconds on the track. I hope it inspires young athletes to pursue their dreams relentlessly."

"Homecoming" is the result of a collaborative effort between ATHLST Studios, a Nigerian-American digital media powerhouse, and Nigeria's Magicline Films. The documentary marks the directorial debut of ATHLST Studios' CEO Lanre Aina and renowned sports executive Sulaiman Folarin.

Fans and sports enthusiasts alike are eagerly anticipating the full release of the documentary, which is expected to delve into Amusan's childhood in Ijebu Ode, her rise through the ranks of international athletics, and her impact on Nigerian sports.
