Manchester United suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford, leaving them 13th in the Premier League.
Pressure on manager Erik ten Hag is increasing, and many feel his time at the club could end in the coming days.
Several Red Devils legends like Paul Scholes have expressed their disappointment in the former Ajax coach.
The Dutchman is in his third season at Old Trafford, and although he has won two trophies, his performances in the league have been far from convincing.
What Man United legend said
He reportedly has two games, Porto and Aston Villa, to save his job. After the loss to the North London club, club legends made their feelings clear on Ten Hag.
"You don’t know how they’re going to play," he told SuperSport via Sportbible. "You don’t know how they’re going to approach games. They look like an uncoached football team. We’re two and a bit years in now [with Ten Hag at United].
Legendary defender Rio Ferdinand was not impressed with the performance of Erik ten Hag's team.
"Let that not distract from the fact that we were terrible. We were an embarrassment today. The red card shouldn’t be an excuse for anybody at Man Utd now. It shouldn’t be an excuse for anyone at the football club. We were terrible," he said via Football365.
Treble winner Dwight Yorke said the team lacked ideas.
"It looked like we were playing with no idea about what we were supposed to do when we were in or out of position. Those are two fundamental things I find disturbing,” via Football365.
Sky Sports pundits and Man United legend Gary Neville suggested that this week will be a big one for the coach and players.
“It was an absolutely disgusting performance...there will be a lot of questions to answer for that group (of players) and the manager in the next week," he said via Evening Standard.
The former Ajax boss is confident about his job, saying he is on one page with the ownership.
