- The Dutchman has overseen another poor start to the season, compounded by humiliating home losses to Tottenham and Liverpool
- A supercomputer has predicted the club's next manager, with Ruud van Nistelrooy among the leading candidates
Erik ten Hag has dominated the headlines in the last 24 hours following Manchester United's humiliating 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
Many fans have called for his dismissal after a poor start to the season, which has left the 20-time English champions 13th in the table with seven points from six games.
A supercomputer has predicted Man United's next coach, with Thomas Tuchel the leading candidate to take over.
Erik ten Hag is in his third season at the club, but his spell nearly ended last season after his team finished eighth in the Premier League, their worst finish in the competition's history.
An FA Cup triumph saved the Dutchman, but the club was reportedly looking to hire a new coach in the summer before opting to extend Ten Hag's deal.
The club has already lost three games this season, including 3-0 home defeats to Liverpool and Tottenham, and early season expectations have dissipated.
Who will replace Erik ten Hag?
The former Ajax coach reportedly has two games to save his job. They face Porto in the Europa League and Aston Villa in their next two matches.
A supercomputer has predicted that former England manager Gareth Southgate is the front-runner for the role, followed by Ten Hag's assistant Ruud van Nistelrooy, per Metro Sport.
Former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, Brentford boss Thomas Frank, former Man United assistant coach, and current Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna are also candidates.
The supercomputer also gives Graham Potter, Michael Carrick, and Zinedine Zidane a slight chance of replacing Ten Hag.
"No, not thinking about this," Ten Hag said when asked about his future via Manchester Evening News. "We all made a togetherness, this decision, to stay together as an ownership, as a leadership group in the summer."
