- Opta supercomputer has tipped Manchester City to win their fifth straight Premier League title
- They have predicted the final table with Man City backed to finish 10 points ahead of Arsenal in May
- The supercomputer has also predicted that Manchester United will finish eighth in the table, the same as last season
Opta supercomputer has predicted the final Premier League table, with Manchester City backed to win their fifth straight crown.
In the final table, newly promoted teams Leicester City, Ipswich Town, and Southampton will be relegated back to the Championship.
Manchester City have dominated the Premier League in recent years and is expected to fend off Arsenal's challenge again.
Opa have backed Man City to finish with 91 points, the same as last season, 10 more than Arsenal, who will finish with 81 points.
The Gunners slipped in April last season and lost the title by two points to Man City, who became the first team in Premier League history to win four in a row.
2020 champions Liverpool have been tipped to finish third with 77 points and Chelsea to round up the top four with 66 points.
Notable omissions in the top four include Manchester United, which finished eighth last season, their worst finish in Premier League history. Opta has bad news again, predicting another eighth-place finish with 57 points.
Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur have been tipped to finish fifth, sixth, and seventh, respectively.
The Opta supercomputer has also predicted that Leicester City, Ipswich Town, and Southampton will go back down, per Sky Sports Premier League.

Man City could use Mateo Kovacic in his position, buy another deep-lying midfielder in January or change the formation.
Erling Haaland called a coward
Legit.ng also reported that Man City striker Erling Haaland was called a coward after his unsportsmanlike conduct during Manchester City's clash with Arsenal.
