Nicolas Jackson took time to explain his hilarious celebration after he scored against West Ham in a Premier League clash on Saturday afternoon.

The Chelsea forward had a good day in the office. He scored twice in the opening 20 minutes and then set up Cole Palmer after the break, as the Blues ran out deserved 3-0 winners.

It was a composed performance from Enzo Maresca's men despite West Ham dominating most of the ball. It was only the third time Chelsea had won at the London Stadium in 11 visits.

Jackson's first goal came from a beautiful solo run after Jadon Sancho had teed him up. He slotted the ball cooly past Alphonse Areola's legs. The second came almost similarly as he beautifully dragged the Hammers' centre backs out of position.

What Nicolas Jackson's celebration meant

After his first goal, the 23-year-old hit the 'Thriller' celebration by Michael Jackson. Speaking after the game, he explained that the idea came to him in a dream.

"It was to remember the legend, Michael Jackson. I was dreaming about this, so I just did it. I dreamt it two days ago, so I just did it," he said, as quoted by Metro UK.

How many goals has Nicolas Jackson scored?

Jackson is now up to four goals in the season. The win took Chelsea to second place, momentarily behind Manchester City, as their resurgence under Maresca continues.
