The new 2024/25 Champions League kicks off tonight with champions Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Juventus in action.
In the new format, 36 teams will battle in a single group, with every club playing eight games, four at home and four away.
A supercomputer has predicted the entire 2024/25 season from the group stage, knockout round and the final.
The usual suspects, Real Madrid and Manchester City, the winners of the last two editions, are favourites to win this season.
Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Liverpool considered outside favourites.
Grosvenor Sport’s Supercomputer has backed Real Madrid to finish top of the group phase. Manchester City have been surprisingly tipped to finish fifth in the group phase. Inter Milan, Bayern, and Barcelona have been predicted to finish second, third and fourth, respectively, via Metro Sports.
The Gunners have been tipped to finish 10th, Aston Villa seventh, while Liverpool have been backed to finish a distant 18th. Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen are in 15th. PSG have been tipped to finish 24th.
How do teams qualify to the last 16?
The top eight advance automatically to the Round of 16, while those in the 9th to 24th positions will battle in a two-legged tie to determine the remaining eight teams.
Arsenal, Bayern Munich, and Liverpool were also tipped to reach the quarter-final.
The supercomputer has also backed Real Madrid to win the 2025 Champions League over Man City in the final. The Spanish and English champions have won the last three titles.
