Real Madrid Suffer Another Injury Blow as Superstar Set to Miss 3 Months
- Real Madrid star Brahim Diaz is set for a stint on the sidelines due to a thigh injury, casting doubt on his availability this year
- Diaz could reportedly be out of action for three months, meaning he will return to the pitch in December
- The Moroccan has joined a list of Real Madrid casualties, including Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavuinga
Real Madrid's 2-0 victory over Real Sociedad provided crucial points amid a shaky start to the season.
However, the team's challenges deepened when Brahim Diaz was forced off with an injury just 20 minutes into the match.
Medical tests later confirmed an injury to the long abductor muscle in his right leg, and the outlook for his recovery doesn't appear promising.
Brahim ruled out for three months?
According to Fabrizio Romano's latest update, Brahim Diaz is set to be sidelined for at least eight weeks following his injury.
He is expected to remain out until November, but with two international breaks on the horizon, Real Madrid might opt for a cautious approach and extend his recovery period.
Romano also mentioned that Diaz will undergo further tests after a week to determine a more accurate timeline for his return.
While eight weeks is the minimum recovery time, The Athletic suggests he could potentially be out for up to three months.
What games will Diaz miss?
If the Morocco international is sidelined for the full three months, he wouldn’t return until the new year, which would significantly impact Carlo Ancelotti's plans.
In that scenario, he could miss up to 19 matches, including key Champions League fixtures against Stuttgart, Lille, AC Milan, Dortmund, and Liverpool.
Additionally, Diaz would be absent for crucial La Liga clashes against rivals like Atletico Madrid, Villarreal, Barcelona, and Girona, among others.
Jude Bellingham suffers injury
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham's injury could never be suffered by approximately 10 per cent of the world's population.
Medical tests have confirmed that the Englishman has suffered a "muscle injury in the plantar muscle of his right leg."
