Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana received loud cheers from fans in Uganda during Cameroon's AFCON qualifier against Zimbabwe.
The goalkeeper was in goal for the Indomitable Lions as they drew 0-0 at the Mandela National Stadium in Namboole, Uganda on Tuesday.
In a video shared on X by the Daily Monitor, Ugandan fans wearing Man United jerseys could be heard loudly chanting his name as the game went on.
After the game, the Man United star had to be privately whisked away from hundreds of fans waiting outside the stadium.

The goalkeeper went to the airport separately, and the fans swarmed to get a glimpse. Security was tight as they tried to clear the way for him to leave the stadium.
Cameroon were held to a frustrating draw by Zimbabwe but have four points after beating Namibia in their opening match. They are tied on four points with Kenya, who edged Namibia 2-1 in South Africa.
Onana perhaps flew directly to Manchester to prepare for the next Premier League match against Southampton on Saturday.
The former Inter Milan goalie came under intense criticism following his team's 3-0 defeat to Liverpool in their last league match before the break.
Onana beaten by Haaland
Legit.ng earlier reported that Andre Onana's penalty showdown with Manchester City's Erling Haaland in the Community Shield ended badly.
He tried to employ a psychological trick by pointing to one side of the goal, signalling where he thought Haaland should aim.
Haaland calmly slotted the ball into the opposite corner as Onana helplessly dived the other way.
Andre Onana vows to take risks
Legit.ng also reported that Onana promised Manchester United supporters that he will take plenty of risks in the 2024/25 season.
Despite facing intense criticism last season, the Cameroonian is committed to his bold approach.
