Senegal star Sadio Mane will go down as one of Liverpool's greatest-ever players.

Reds right back Trent Alexander-Arnold recently compared the two-time African Footballer of the year to his Al-Nassr teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

The England defender believes Mane, during his time at Liverpool, has almost identical attributes to Ronaldo.

The Senegalese winger scored 120 goals in 269 games in all competitions during his time at Liverpool.

He also won the Premier League (2020), Champions League (2019), Club World Cup (2019), FA Cup (2022), and Carabao Cup (2022), ensuring an end to their 30-year wait for a Premier League title in 2020.

Mane joined Bayern Munich in 2022 and played one season in the Bundesliga before moving to Saudi Arabia.

"I had a great time, an unbelievable time, and since my first day I really, really enjoyed training, playing, at Anfield especially and in front of these amazing supporters," Mane said in his Liverpool farewell interview.

Trent compares Mane to Ronaldo

Speaking to Gary Neville, Trent Alexander-Arnold was in awe of Mane, saying that he had everything as a forward.

“Sadio Mané is the one player that I played with that I’ve always thought, I’m thankful that I didn’t have to play against him," he said via DAZN.
“He was the perfect attacker, he had everything. As an athlete, he was similar to Cristiano Ronaldo – he had the jump, was fast, could finish both feet, and was a threat at all times.”

Mane enjoyed his first season at Al-Nassr, scoring 19 goals in 19 appearances, but his teammate Ronaldo won the Saudi Pro League Golden Boot with 35 goals.
