Rio Ferdinand Makes EPL Top 4 Prediction After Man United’s Loss to Liverpool

Man United co-owner reportedly picks possible Erik ten Hag replacements

Competition for a Champions League spot has intensified in the Premier League, with several teams fighting for the four places.

After Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement in 2013, the club has not played in Europe's premier competition regularly.

Ferdinand's top four prediction

Prominent pundit Gary Neville backed the Red Devils to finish fourth this season, and his former Man United teammate Rio Ferdinand also expects his former team to make it.

“With that being said, where would you put us at the end of the season? What are you going for? I went for a top four of Arsenal, City, Liverpool and then us, United, in that order,” he said via Football365.

Man City have been backed to win a historic fifth Premier League title in a row. The Gunners have challenged them in the last two seasons but have fallen short.

Newcastle United and Aston Villa will also be competing for a top four spot this season. Therefore, Man United will need a more consistent campaign to play Champions League football.
