Leicester City made their return to the Premier League with a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at the King Power Stadium.

The North London club went ahead through Pedro Porro in the first half before Jamie Vardy equalized in the second half.

When he was substituted, the veteran striker mocked Tottenham by reminding them he had won more Premier League titles.

That season, he scored 24 Premier League goals in 36 appearances, etching his name in the league's history books.

He became one of the most consistent strikers in the English top flight and is 15th in the all-time Premier League goal scorers list.

Vardy trolls Spurs

When the 37-year-old was substituted with 11 minutes to go, he took a moment to remind Spurs fans that he has a Premier League title.

He pointed to the league's badge and chest and held up one finger, signalling his league title win. He then made a zero with his hand to represent the number of titles Tottenham have won.

Ange Postecoglou's have never won a Premier League title. Coincidentally, Spurs were title contenders when the Foxes won in 2016.

Vardy was unapologetic after the game.

“You take a bit of stick during the game, but it’s part of football. As long as they can take it when I’m giving it back, that’s all that matters," Vardy told Sky Sports via The Mirror.

The Foxes face Fulham in their next encounter.

Vardy takes energy drink before goal

Legit.ng earlier reported that Vardy was spotted indulging in his trademark ritual—sipping on his favourite energy drink, Red Bull.

In a video circulating on social media, the 37-year-old can be seen casually drinking the beverage before discarding the can as he emerged from the tunnel.

The Leicester talisman has previously spoken about his unconventional lifestyle, choosing to bypass the strict regimens that many of his peers adhere to.
