If the supercomputer's predictions are anything to go by, Arsenal are headed for another season of disappointment. They have been placed second once more after back-to-back near misses. Mikel Arteta has shored up his defence by adding Euro 2024 star Riccardo Calafiori.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have been placed third in the predictions for the first season of the post-Jurgen Klopp era. The Reds, under Arne Slot, are the only side yet to make a statement side in the division.

Where will Chelsea, Manchester United finish on the table?

Chelsea, who are also under a new manager, are expected to finish fourth after yet another busy window by the Todd Boehly-led club. Manchester United, despite all the new signings, have only been placed in sixth place behind Newcastle United and just in front of Tottenham Hotpsur.

Man City wins 2024 season opener

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Manchester City and Manchester United locked horns for the first time in the 2024/25 season in what was the curtain-raiser for the English football season.

Alejandro Garnacho gave the Red Devils the lead when he scored in the 81st minute after receiving a pass from Fernandes, made a dazzling run and delivered a brilliant finish past goalkeeper, Ederson Moraes.

Man City found their breakthrough in the 89th minute, when Portuguese attacker, Bernardo Silva, capitalised on a superb cross from Bobb to level the score and eventually sealed victory via penalties.
