Mourinho Draws Interesting Comparison to Jesus Christ for Work Done at Roma

Jose Mourinho has claimed that his work at AS Roma can be referred to as a miracle.
The Special One took over the reins at the Italian capital club in 2021 and, in his first season, ended the club’s trophy drought by winning the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League. It was Roma's first trophy since the 2008 Coppa Italia.
This season has proven to be challenging due to inconsistencies and injuries to key players, but against all odds, Mourinho has guided the team to the Europa League final.

According to The Guardian, the club got most of its summer incomings via free transfers and loans, spending only €7m on other targets, including Zeki Celik and Mady Camara.
Some Roma fans labelled their team as title contenders earlier in the season, due to the quality of the free transfers, which included five-time Serie A champion, Paulo Dybala and Andrea Belotti. However, Mourinho was quick to shut it down.
Mourinho compares himself to Jesus
It is unlikely that Roma will qualify for the Champions League next season via their league ranking, as they are sixth and four points off fourth place, with two games to go.
The possible route to the UCL would be beating Sevilla next Wednesday in Budapest to claim Europa League glory, a feat Mourinho claimed is a 'miracle', considering their summer budget.
“We can write history and want to continue doing it, but qualifying for the Champions League when spending €7m on the transfer market is more than history, more than a miracle,” he said, via Football Italia.
“It’s like Jesus Christ coming to Rome and having a walk around the Vatican.”
It was not the first time Jose has compared himself to Jesus. According to Mirror UK, he compared his popularity to that of Jesus by claiming that not everyone likes him.
Mourinho sweats over players’ fitness
Jose Mourinho issued a fitness update before AS Roma's showdown with Sevilla in Budapest next Wednesday.
He claimed that Paulo Dybala and Georgino Wijnaldum are doubts for the final. Dybala has not started a game since April, while Wijnaldum is not an urgent injury concern, but is not 100% fit.
