Kylian Mbappe was the star of the show as France earned an impressive 2-1 victory against Denmark in their second Group D game at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The PSG forward scored netted his third goal of this year’s competition after grabbing both goals for France as Didier Deschamps’ team earned their second win in two games.

Mbappe has now scored 7 goals in just his second World Cup appearance for France, surpassing Thierry Henry’s record with the French national team.

The 24-year-old forward has also equaled Lionel Messi’s total World Cup goals having played three competitions less than the Argentina icon.
Mbappe is now the leading goalscorer in the current France squad as they look set to top Group D after bagging 6 points from their opening 2 games.
France qualifies for World Cup knockout stage
Meanwhile, France has qualified for the World Cup knockout stages after securing a hard-fought 2-1 win against a resilient Denmark side thanks to a brace from Kylian Mbappe, Daily Mail reports.
Theo Hernandez linked up with the electric Mbappe, whose shot deflected off the heel of Andreas Christensen and in to give France the lead in the 61st minute.
Denmark levelled seven minutes later through Andreas Christensen’s header but Mbappe finished the job in the 86th minute, tucking a superb Antoine Griezmann cross home at the back post.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported Kylian Mbappe continued his sensational start to the 2022 FIFA World Cup with a brace against Denmark in France's second group game.
Mbappe was on target as Les Bleus made lightwork of Australia in their World Cup opener and the Paris Saint-Germain forward went a step further by grabbing two goals against the Danes.
His brace was enough to ensure the defending champions become the first team to secure a place in the round of 16 with one game to spare.
