Enzo Fernández who is the eldest son of Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has joined Portuguese club Aves after being released at Lausanne.

The 24-year-old midfielder made 34 appearances while on loan at Rayo Majadahonda in the Spanish second division last season.

He actually started his career at Juventus' academy from a young age and later joined Spanish giants Real Madrid in 2004.

But Enzo made one senior appearance for Real Madrid before leaving the Bernabeu stadium for Alaves in 2017.

He then went on to feature twice for the latter side in La Liga prior to his switch to Lausanne.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has three other sons currently playing football, Luca, Theo, and Elyaz.

Luca is a 21-year-old goalkeeper, Theo is a 17-year-old midfielder while Elyaz is a 13-year-old defender and all of them are playing at Real Madrid academy.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane suffered a major heartbreak after losing his elder brother, Farid, at the age of 54.

The Frenchman left Los Blancos preseason camp in Canada earlier this week but the only thing the club could say was that he went to attend to personal issues.

It has however been confirmed that the three time Champions League winning manager lost his brother having had to battle cancer for some time now.
