- A reason why the France forward is set to miss Real Madrid's pre-season tour in the United States has recently surfaced
Kylian Mbappe's highly anticipated debut for Real Madrid has become a hot topic among fans of the La Liga club following his historic unveiling ceremony.
The Los Blancos forward was introduced to a packed crowd at the newly remodelled Santiago Bernabeu stadium, with some of the club's most iconic legends in attendance.
However, following the forward's presentation ceremony, talks regarding his debut for Los Blancos have gradually surfaced.
While many fans had hoped to see their new number nine feature during the club's pre-season fixtures, a recent report from media outlet, The Athletic, has hinted there might be a prolonged wait to witness the debut of the French star.
Why Mbappe could miss Real Madrid's pre-season tour
According to the report, Mbappe's involvement in the recently concluded UEFA Euro 2024 tournament has contributed to the delay in his debut for the club.
The forward, who played a crucial role in leading his team to the semi-finals, has been granted a period of rest by coach Carlo Ancelotti and the Real Madrid hierarchy.
He is expected to embark on a vacation and rejoin his teammates in August, ahead of the start of the new La Liga season.
Real Madrid aims to coincide Mbappe's return to training with his teammates from the French national team, including Ferland Mendy, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Eduardo Camavinga.
According to data from Fotmob, the 25-year-old had over 400 goal involvements throughout his career before his move to Real Madrid.
Mbappe willing to change playing position
