Brazilian footballer Fred has been slammed by Manchester United legend Roy Keane who was not impressed with his performance in defeat against Liverpool in the Premier League.
Liverpool were superb on Thursday night, May 13, beating the Red Devils at Old Trafford which gave them some hopes of finishing among the top four this term.
In the encounter against Liverpool, Fred's wayward pass led to the Reds' third goal early in the second half which made many Manchester United fans livid.
United manager Ole Solskjaer had to replace Fred later on with Mason Greenwood coming in even though Manchester United went on to lose the match.
According to the report on Metro, Roy Keane who was a pundit for the encounter asked why Man United manager Ole Solskjaer is still pampering Fred.
‘'How they think Fred is going to get United back to winning titles I don’t know. I know he Solskjaer dragged him off but even so it was sloppy, it was lazy. It is school boy stuff.
‘'Fred is under no pressure there and gives it away. Shaw is an experienced international player. We are building the goalkeeper [Dean Henderson] up to say is he going be the future no1 for United and they come up short.''
Despite the defeat, Manchester United are still occupying second position on the Premier League table and will play in Champions League next season.
