Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was in great form for Napoli on Thursday night, April 22, scoring his sixth Serie A goal of the season in his side's 5-2 win over visiting Lazio.
Napoli players knew before the match that a win will definitely help their quest to finish the season among the top four as they currently occupy fifth on the standings.
In their game against Inter Milan, Victor Osimhen failed to score for Napoli in the encounter and the handler of the team Gattuso decided to start him from the bench against Lazio.

The encounter was a tough one for Victor Osimhen and his teammates as Lazio on the other hand were also looking for the three points in their fights for the top four.
Lorenzo Insigne opened the scoring for Napoli in the 7th minute before Matteo Politano doubled the lead for Napoli to the delight of their manager Gattuso.
Lorenzo Insigne made it three for Napoli in the 53rd minute after getting a nice assist from Elseid Hysa and it was Mertens who grabbed the fourth goal for the hosts.
Ciro Immobile and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic pulled two goals back to create some pressure for Napoli in the encounter.
Osimhen however benefited from Hirving Lozano's assist before blasting home Napoli's fifth goal of the night which sealed all three points according to the confirmation by the club.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen caught up with five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo after Napoli defeated Juventus in the Serie A on Saturday, February 13.
The Nigerian forward was in action until the 75th minute of the encounter before he was replaced by Andrea Pategna at the Diego Maradona stadium.
Ronaldo played full 90 minutes in the encounter but failed to save his side after Lorenzo Insigne had scored for the hosts from the penalty spot in the first half.
Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso has however leapt to the defence of Nigerian star Victor Osimhen who seems to be struggling at the Italian club lately.
