Eighteen players have arrived the camp of the Super Eagles ahead of their coming 2022 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho this month.
Super Eagles are currently topping their Group with eight points after four games played so far in the AFCON 2022 qualifiers and they are being followed by Benin with seven points.
Gernot Rohr and his men must try and avoid defeat in their next two games for them to get the 2022 African Cup of Nations ticket.
They were unable to get a win in their last two games against Sierra Leone who are currently occupying third position in Group L with three points.
According to the update by the Super Eagles, the likes of Alex Iwobi, Paul Onuachu and goalkeeper Maduka Okoye have all arrived at the Super Eagles camp.
Below are the names of all the 18 players currently in camp:
Ahmed Musa, Troost-Ekong, Aina, Ajayi, Onyekuru, Etebor, Adeleke, Awaziem, Shehu, Iwuala, Noble, Iwobi, Balogun, Aribo, Ebuehi, Maduka, Collins, Onuachu.
Genk striker Paul Onuachu is expected to lead the attack for the Super Eagles against Benin and Lesotho considering his superb performances so far this season for his club.
Nigeria will first face Benin on Saturday, March 27 before coming back to Lagos to tackle Lesotho on Tuesday, March 30 at the Teslim Balogun stadium.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Nigeria's technical adviser Gernot Rohr insisted that the Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa will not play any of his side's 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers this month.
Former Barcelona star 'attacks' Gernot Rohr for inviting Musa for AFCON qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho
The three-time AFCON champions face-off with Benin and Lesotho in their remaining two Group L fixtures on March 27th and 31st.
With eight points from their first four games, Rohr's men cannot afford to be complacent in any of the matches -especially after the back-to-back draws against Sierra Leone last November.
Despite inviting club-less Musa for these fixtures, the German-born tactician has reiterated that the former Leicester winger is in camp because he is the team skipper.
