Egyptian Football chiefs and those in charge of reigning Premier League champions Liverpool could be set for a heated row after super striker Mohamed Salah is included in the preliminary squad for the summer's Olympics.
All the nations that will participate in the football event at the Olympics will be allowed to pick three overage players in their squads for the tournament.
This made the Egyptian Football Association and the coach of the national team include the name of Mohamed Salah in their squad.
According to the report by Daily Mail, the Egyptian FA have not discussed with Liverpool chiefs about their decision to include Mohamed Salah in their squad.
The postponed Olympics are scheduled to take place between July 23 to August 8, meaning Salah's club schedule would be massively interrupted.
Salah would be absent for most of Liverpool's pre-season and would also miss the start of the new Premier League campaign.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will not be happy with the possibility of him not having Mohamed Salah in his squad for the start of the next Premier League term.
Jurgen Klopp and his wards are currently not doing well this term in the Premier League and it will be hard for the Reds to retain their title.
Salah on the other hand has been getting the goals for Liverpool with the Egyptian currently having 17 goals after 25 games played.
The Reds are currently occupying sixth position on the Premier League table with 43 points and they will face Chelsea in their next game.
