Liverpool number one goalkeeper Alisson Becker has been hit with a big blow following the shocking demise of his lovely father Jose who drowned in a lake in Brazil.
This latest development will come as a devastating one for the Liverpool star whose team are currently struggling this season in the Premier League.
According to the report on CBSS, Jose Becker was said to have been missing for hours which forced his family members to report to the police.
The police then began their thorough search for the father of the Liverpool goalkeeper before they found his body in what was a heartbreaking moment.
CBSS added in their report that Jose Becker was also a professional goalkeeper when he was young, but he never made it to the top of his career before he quit soccer.
Luckily for him, his two sons are goalkeepers, which Alisson is with Premier League champions Liverpool, while his brother Muriel is with for Fluminense.
Meanwhile, Alisson Becker has been Liverpool's first-choice goalie since joining the Reds from Roma in 2018 and has helped the team to win the Champions League and EPL title,
His superb performances for Liverpool and Brazil also made fans to vote him FIFA Best goalkeeper in 2019.
Liverpool are currently occupying sixth position on the Premier League table with 40 points after 25 games played so far and the Reds are 19 points behind leaders Manchester City.

Liverpool gaffer Jurgen Klopp is patiently waiting for him to know if the 30-year-old England international would need surgery or not.
According to the report on UK Sun, the Englishman had a scan on Monday, February 22, and he will know his fate later on Wednesday as tension arises at Anfield.
