Championship side Bournemouth have announced the sacking of manager Jason Tindall just less than six months after he was appointed at the club.
This is coming hours after their home loss to Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night, February 2, meaning they have lost their last four games.
Tindall, who was assistant to Eddie Howe during his eight-year second spell in charge which included five years in the Premier League, was given the role after Howe resigned in August following their relegation to the Championship.
Their form drastically plummeted despite being in the play-off spots and eight points adrift of promotion places.
A club statement read: '
"FC Bournemouth have today parted company with manager Jason Tindall.
"It is a decision which has not been taken lightly, given Jason’s outstanding commitment to the club as a player, assistant manager and manager.
"However, recent performances and results have fallen well below the board’s expectations. We feel a change is needed now in order to give the club the best possible chance of achieving the goals that were clearly set out last summer."
They are however yet to announce who will be in charge for Saturday's home game against Birmingham City.
Meanwhile, Mason Mount has shown appreciation to sacked Chelsea boss Frank Lampard saying he has nothing but praise and gratitude for him.
After a year and a half at Stamford Bridge, the Blues had to relieve Lampard of his duties and bring in another, Thomas Tuchel.
Mount has become a key member of the present Chelsea squad and the England national team with the help of Lampard in the last two seasons.
And the 22-year-old has insisted that he is grateful to the English manager and declared that he 'means a lot' to him.
However, Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester United fans will not be happy with the predictions of the supercomputer as their club has been tipped to finish fifth on the table at the end of the season.
The Red Devils are currently second on the Premier League table with 40 points - one behind city rivals Manchester City who have one game in hand.
But the mainframe machine believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men will end up outside of the top four teams on the log with 69 points in May.
