Frank Lampard believes Chelsea are struggling to hit top form because they lack top quality players like Eden Hazard, Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas and the likes.
The Blues' title chances have been shaky due to their poor run of result in recent matches and are now eight points off the top Premier League.
Chelsea spent over £200million on players but are languishing on seventh and Lampard has given his reason for the team's dip in form.

This is the blunt statement Lampard made to his players after admitting he is under pressure to losing Chelsea job
“With our team it’s potential, so for us there may be tough moments going forwards.
“We haven’t got Hazard contributing 50 per cent of goals or assists. We haven’t got Costa scoring 30 goals. We are developing those players and I believe in them strongly.
“When people were touting us as title challengers, we do have a squad when you look at it in terms of its composition, but it’s very young particularly in the forward areas.
“We don’t have the history of players in those areas that this club had before — goal machines or assist machines that win you games.”
Chelsea will be visitors to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium and a win would move them to sixth above Everton who still have a game at hand.
On the other hand, the Foxes are looking to go temporarily on top of the league pending when Liverpool and Man United play their matches.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Timo Werner missed a sitter and Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has advised the German striker to keep working on the training pitch to get those kinds of chances converted.
The 24-year-old has not scored for Chelsea in the last 12 matches until the FA Cup win over League Two side Morecambe.
The Germany international was brought on in the second half in the west London derby against Fulham but failed to find the back of the net.
