Amad Diallo: Manchester United announce arrival of Ivorian winger from Atalanta
- Amad Diallo has officially sealed his switch from Italian club Atalanta to Manchester United
- The Ivorian youngster has signed a long-term contract with the Red Devils until 2025
- He had agreed to the deal during the summer and contract papers have been completed

Premier League giants Manchester United have officially confirmed Amad Diallo's arrival from Italian club Atalanta.
The Ivorian winger has signed a long-term contract to the end of June 2025, with the option of an extra year according to the the club.
United completed the signing of the 18-year-old on transfer deadline day in October after he proved to be one of the hottest prospects in the game.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said, as cited on the club's website:
“As a club, we have followed Amad for a number of years and having watched him myself, I believe he is one of the most exciting young prospects in the game.
“Manchester United has such a proud history of developing young players and everything is in place to enable Amad to reach his potential here.
“It will take time for him to adapt but his speed, vision and fantastic dribbling ability will stand him in good stead to make the transition. He is a player with all of the raw attributes that are needed to be an important player for Manchester United in the years to come.”

Last season, Diallo performed excellently well in the UEFA Youth League, and the exciting player had been noticed by United scouts since he was age 15.
Diallo had a taste of the first-team action for Atalanta in Serie A last season and capped his three appearances with a goal.
He became the first player born in 2002 to score a goal in Serie A following Atalanta's 7-1 demolition of Udinese last season.
The Red Devila will hope he will become a great star for the club in the nearest furure.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester City defeated neighbours and fierce rivals Manchester United 2-0 to reach the final of this season’s Carabao Cup courtesy goals from John Stones and Fernandinho.
It was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's second straight Cup defeat to Pep Guardiola side as the Citizens edged their rivals at the Theatre of Dreams.
City eventually unlocked the Red Devils’ defence in the 50th minute after John Stones tucked home the opening goal of the encounter.
