Chelsea who are Premier League giants have reportedly terminated the loan spell of Brazilian footballer Lucas Piazon at Rio Ave and he is expected to leave the Blues after nine years.
Lucas Piazon actually joined Chelsea in 2012 and was touted as the next 'Kaka' when he moved to Stamford Bridge, but he was unable to fight his way inside the Blues squad.
The Blues' chiefs however sent him on loan seven times for him to get active playing time elsewhere so as to help his professional career.
He has been able to play only three games for the Stamford Bridge landlords since joining the Blues from Sao Paolo.
According to the report on GOAL, three clubs are already talking with Chelsea over the signing of Lucas as the Blues are ready to sell the winger.
However, Piazon has six months to go on his current deal with the Blues, an option for a one year extension means that they can still profit from his departure.
He last played for Chelsea more than eight years ago in December 2012 when he came on for 16 minutes of their 8-0 win against Aston Villa.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are currently occupying ninth position on the Premier League table with 28 points after 17 games played so far this season.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Chelsea outcast Olivier Giroud emerged as a top transfer target for Juventus and AC Milan this month.
The 34-year-old has scored nine goals in 15 appearances for the Blues across competitions this campaign.
However, Frank Lampard is still not impressed with the 2018 World Cup winner as he prefers Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham to him.
The Old Lady are trailing Stefano Pioli's men by 10 points on the Italian League table, however, they are hoping to turn that around by signing some experienced stars to boost their attack.
Napoli duo of Arkadiusz Milik and Fernando Llorente are also on the radar of the Serie A defending champions this transfer window.
The French international striker is out of contract in the summer but has been given assurances he will play regularly if he stays at Stamford Bridge.
