Hours before the epic semifinal Carabao Cup clash between Manchester City and Manchester United, the Citizens have confirmed three new cases of COVID-19 in their team.
This is not a good news for Pep Guardiola and his team considering the number of Manchester City players who are now having the virus and placed on self-isolation.
Walker and Gabriel Jesus are on self-isolation after contracting the virus and the club have not made any update on their recovery.
According to the report on Mirror, Cole Palmer and Scott Carson are the two players down with the virus together with an unnamed member of the staff.
"Manchester City FC can confirm that Scott Carson, Cole Palmer and one member of staff have tested positive for COVID-19.
"Everyone at the Club wishes Scott, Cole and all of our other colleagues a speedy recovery ahead of their return to work, training and competition."
Manchester City are currently occupying fifth position on the Premier League table with 29 points after 15 games played so far this term.
The Citizens have also qualified for the knockout of the Champions League.
