Manchester United and Manchester City will go into a fierce battle in the second Carabao Cup semi-final on Wednesday night, January 6, to determine which team faces Tottenham in the final at Wembley.
The Manchester teams go head-to head in a one-legged encounter where the winner takes it all.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is gunning for his first silverware with the Red Devils while Pep Guadiola has led the Citizens to win it in the last three consecutive seasons.
Following the packed fixtures in December, Solskjaer gave some of his key players including Bruno Fernandes, Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford breathing space.
But due to injury that has crippled into the squad, the manager is expected to stick to his regular starters who have helped the club to level on points with Premier League leaders Liverpool.
Since his last appearance in the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Everton, Donny van de Beek is in need of more minutes.

It is expected that Victor Lindelof will be available after recuperating from his injury, while Eric Bailly has impressed since taking the position.
With Edinson Cavani suspended, the only other likely consideration would be whether Mason Greenwood gets a start - but with a lack of forward options on the bench, Solskjaer may save the youngster as an impact substitute.
Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo remain sidelined by injury, though neither would have started regardless.

However, Mourinho has insisted that Tottenham have the winning mentality to land their first trophy in 13 years after making it through to the Carabao Cup final.
As a manager, the Special One is aiming for his fifth League Cup title having previously won three with Chelsea and one with Man United.
Spurs overcame hard fighting Brentford by 2-0 in the semis as they await the winner between Manchester United and Manchester City.
