Mourinho set to break Tottenham's 12-year jinx without a trophy after making it through to Carabao Cup final
Tottenham boss Mourinho said:
“I came to England 2004 and I remember in that period I had to learn the meaning of the cups here and I always took it seriously.
“If there is any secret it’s to always take it seriously and respect the teams with smaller quality and go with ambition.
“What I sense in the team is that winning mentality. The guys took it seriously. If you see the winners, you see that the big clubs want to win it.
“Who was the last winner outside of the normal top six? The big clubs care about it. When April arrives we have to be ready and to fight for the trophy.”
