Tottenham Hotspur vs Brentford Carabao Cup semi-final tie saw Jose Mourinho's ease past Championship side Brentford to book a place in the finals.

The Championship outfit thought they had leveled matters minutes into the second half, but VAR chalked off Toney's effort for an offside.
That served as a warning shot for the hosts who quickly responded by doubling the advantage in the 70th minute.

Things went from bad to worse for the visitors in the closing stages of the encounter as Dasilva was red-carded after a violent act on Hojbjerg.
The London-based side held on to the advantage to cruise to a win victory at home as they booked a place in the finals of the tournament.
Mourinho is now on the verge of guiding Spurs to their first major title in 12 years in his first full season in charge of the club.
The side will face the winner between Man United and City who play their own semi-final fixture on Wednesday night, January 6.
