Manchester United chiefs have extended the contract of England international Jesse Lingard at Old Trafford by another year in what will be an incredible one for the forward.
This means that Jesse Lingard will no longer be leaving Manchester United in January 2021.
Lingard has not played any game for Manchester United so far this season in the Premier League and even before the Red Devils crashed out of the Champions League.
His representatives recently had meeting with Manchester United chiefs over the future of the Englishman in which they were planning to loan him to Real Sociedad.
However, Ole Solskjaer has canceled the move as Jesse Lingard will now be getting another chance to prove himself at Manchester United.
According to the report on Sky Sports, Jesse Lingard will be at Manchester United until the summer of 2022.
The report added that Solskjaer explained that Jesse Lingard has had to isolate himself many times after coming close to those who had COVID-19.
"He's been working hard in training. He's been unfortunate with having to isolate a few times, been in contact, or close contact with COVID, not even having it himself.''
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Manchester United who are Premier League giants have reportedly renewed their interested in the signing of Norwich City defender Max Aarons who has been impressive this term.
Having climbed to second position on the Premier League table, Ole Solskjaer is trying to make sure that his wards stay among the top four in the English topflight.
Before the start of the ongoing Premier League season, Ole Solskjaer tried to convince Manchester United chiefs to sign Max Aarons, but nothing worked for the Norwegian.
The Old Trafford landlords are now preparing to bolster their squad in the January 2021 transfer window in which they are targeting many players.
Some players like Odion Ighalo and Lingard could also be facing the exit doors at Manchester United in January 2021 due to lack of active games.
Since he joined Manchester United on loan from Shanghai Shenhua, Odion Ighalo has not started any Premier League tie for the Red Devils.
