Manchester United manager Old Gunnar Solskjaer has warned Paul Pogba that he would not sit and watch any player think he is bigger than the Premier League club.
The Frenchman has been warned as the row between the club and the player’s agent Mino Riaola takes a drastic new turn.
Raiola threw the club into commotion a night before they crashed out of the Champions League having failed to stage a draw against German club RB Leipzig, a match which ended 3-2.
The agent said his client is not happy at the Old Trafford outfit and the best option for him is to leave.
Solskjaer who earlier reacted to Raiola’s comments saying the agent must understand that football is a team game, has emerged with fresh comments. He said, as cited in SunSport:
“I would just not stand for anyone thinking that he is bigger than Manchester United.
“No one is. Absolutely no one — and Paul knows this. It is not only for Paul. It is for all of us.”
His straight–talking stance is as much of an attack on controversial Raiola as a move to show the World Cup winner who is in charge.
French midfielder Pogba’s £300,000-a-week contract expires in just 18 months.
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Pogba are being linked with a blockbuster swap deal involving two European giants, Juventus and Manchester United.
CR7 is being considered to make a sensational return to Manchester United where he spent six seasons between 2003 and 2009 before leaving to join Spanish giants Real Madrid.
On the other hand, Paul Pogba is being poached to return to Juventus as calls for him to move back to the Turin based club has been a recurring theme.
Juventus are looking to sell Ronaldo as they won’t be able to cope with his £26m-a-year salary due to the financial impact of the pandemic with halted football activities earlier in the year.
However, Legit.ng earlier reported that Alex Telles stated that he has eventually changed his mind about Bruno Fernandes who used to be annoying when both players were plying their trade back in Portugal.
Both players had faced each other several times - while Fernandes played for Sporting Lisbon and Telles on the other hand featured for FC Porto.
Telles feels relieved to be on the same team with Fernandes at Manchester United adding that he was annoying to play against.
